Donna Devlin Designs Walking Vests help alleviate the pulling and strain on the fragile neck area associated with traditional collars and harnesses by distributing leash pressure to the strongest part of your dog’s body — the chest.
Veterinarians and trainers recommend avoiding collars for walking small breeds, as their tracheas are more delicate and prone to collapse. Our Walking Vest takes pressure off the throat and spreads it evenly across the chest, helping reduce gagging, choking and coughing.

Adjustable tabs at the front and under the body make the vest quick and easy to put on and take off. Reinforced stitching and a securely attached D-ring ensure safety and peace of mind on every walk.

Walking Vest Sizing Tips
Making sure everything fits correctly is important. There are no standard sizes for pet clothing, so we highly recommend measuring your pet precisely for an accurate fit.
How to Measure
- Use a soft tape measure (or string + ruler if needed).
- Measure comfortably around the neck and the fullest part of the chest.
- Ensure your dog is standing when taking measurements.
- For broad-chested dogs or thick coats, consider one size larger.
- If your dog falls between sizes, we suggest sizing up.

Designer suggests choosing the larger size if your dog is on the upper end of a size range.
Care Instructions
Our Walking Vests come out nice and clean when placed in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry.
To prevent unnecessary fading and better preserve the fabric, we recommend hand washing in cold water and air or line drying.
